At least three suspects are being sought after an armed home invasion in Ajax in which electronics were stolen and occupants were assaulted, Durham Regional Police said.
The incident happened early Saturday, May 9, at a residence near Cranston Avenue and Carpendale Crescent. Officers from the service’s West Division responded to a robbery call at approximately 2:35 a.m.
According to police, three suspects carrying firearms entered the home, stole electronics and assaulted the occupants before leaving the area.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the neighbourhood between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. that morning to come forward if they have information or footage that could assist with the investigation.
The appeal includes cellphone recordings, dashcam video and surveillance footage. The requested time window covers the period before officers received the robbery call and shortly afterward.
