The Town of Ajax has announced the official results of the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections, capping a voting period that ended on October 26.
According to the Town of Ajax, 33,511 voters cast ballots between October 19 and 26, producing a voter turnout of 32.4 per cent. That marks a notable jump from the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections, when turnout stood at 22.5 per cent.
The certified results determine who will serve Ajax for the 2026-2030 term of Council. The Town congratulated all elected candidates who will represent the community over the next four years.
Voting in the municipal contest ran for a full week, giving Ajax residents an extended window to participate either in advance of or on election day itself.
In its announcement, the Town also thanked everyone who took part in the process — including candidates who were not elected, voters, staff and volunteers — for their participation and contributions throughout the election period.
Residents who want to review the outcome in detail can view the full certified election results online, including results for municipal council seats and school board positions.
The new term of council begins as Ajax heads into four years of decisions on local issues including growth, infrastructure and community services across the town.
