Ajax residents preparing to vote in the 2026 municipal and school board elections can now listen to two episodes of the town’s election-focused podcast. Voting runs from Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. to Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. Eastern time, according to a Town of Ajax announcement.
The fourth season of TOA Talks is devoted to the upcoming elections, with conversations about casting a ballot, voting accessibility and safety, and what happens after the count. More episodes will be released throughout October.
Devon Jarvis, the town’s manager of communications and engagement, hosts the series. Guests include members of Ajax’s election team and other town staff who discuss the election process and the work involved in running it.
Two episodes available now
The first two episodes are titled “2026 Ajax Municipal and School Board Elections 101” and “Coffee with the Election team.” Both are available now, giving residents a resource to consult before the voting period begins.
The episodes address voting dates and times, the options available to voters and where residents can find reliable election information. They also explain some of the preparations involved in delivering the election.
Across the season, the town says the discussions will cover why municipal elections matter, measures intended to make voting safe and accessible, and the steps that follow once ballots have been counted.
Municipal Clerk Jaclyn Grossi encouraged eligible voters to prepare ahead of time and use the election resources available to them.
“We encourage all eligible voters to make a plan to vote, mark their calendar for the voting period and take advantage of the resources available to help them feel informed and prepared,” Grossi said in the town’s announcement.
Grossi also said municipal and school board election decisions help determine Ajax’s services, programs and future direction. She described the podcast as an opportunity to learn about the election team and the measures supporting the voting process.
Residents can stream or download the podcast on popular podcast platforms as episodes are released. The town directs voters to ajax.ca/Vote for election updates and voter information.
